Chance Running: Apparel Partner and Product Testing

In 2025, I joined the newly formed Chance Running GRID Team (Gear, Research and Innovation Division), a group of athletes connected by our love of mountains, movement, and exploration. Together, this group of elite runners is pushing limits, testing prototypes of high performance trail running apparel, and taking gear to the edge to go further. Chance is co-founded by Tom Austen and New Brunswick’s Christian Meier (now based in Girona, Spain).

BackTrails by The Radical Edge: Community Partner and Product Support

When I first discovered trail running, I started by going out on group runs with the local Fredericton Trail Runners led by the Radical Edge team. Backtrails by The Radical Edge is more than just an outdoor shop, they are a community hub and a place I know I can go to get suited up for any adventure. Since trying out my first pair of Distance Running Socks from Near Earth, I’ve jumped in with both feet and haven’t looked back. Near Earth is all about connection — “between feet and shoes, between runners and the earth, and between great understated design and performance that doesn’t come at the expense of the environment”. They’re my favourite running socks to go the distance, but I really care about the values that drive the company and its founder, Christian Brecheis.

Fenix Lighting: Trail Running Headlamps

Specializing in 100-mile mountain races means that I’m often running through the night in pretty wild, remote places. Being able to count on a bright light source and long-lasting battery in my headlamp is key to performing well and reducing the mental fatigue of running at night. Fenix makes super-bright headlamps specifically for trail running, and I’ve been grateful for their support for multiple seasons now.

Fueling and hydration is such a big piece of the puzzle for ultramarathon races, and I’m super grateful to have the support from PF&H for all my racing and training.
